Every month I like to reflect on the things that have brought me joy, made me laugh, or have been really useful! Without further ado, here are the things I'm loving March edition:
Things I'm Loving in Media: Cowboy Carter by Beyonce
This Album is actually my entire personality now. Beyonce went and used her anger at being snubbed for her performance of Daddy Issues at the CMAs and made the masterpiece that is Cowboy Carter. She covers so many genres that exist just within Country music alone, while remaining true to the sound that she has curated in recent years. When people talk about an artist that has aritstry, this album has to be involved in the conversation.

Things I'm Loving in Food: Hello Fresh
Back in my Hello Fresh Era! Sometimes the real value is in saving time. The time I save every week by not actually having to go to the store and having perfectly proportioned ingredients is chefs kiss. There is also so much that I don't know how to cook. Our home has the same dishes on repeat in slight variation. Hello Fresh brings so much variety in what we get to eat too!

Things I'm Loving in Books: Powerless by Lauren Roberts
I hit a reading slump this month. Didn't read as much as I usually do and that's okay! I read probably three books this month and the first book of the Powerless trilogy was my favorite! It was your average action/romance/light fantasy book, but that didn't make the characters less lovable. It was nice to just have a casual low stakes read. It reminds me a lot of the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, meets The Hunger Games. Friend me on Goodreads to see what else I've been reading this month!

Things I'm Loving in Podcasts: Liking Things Normally is Boring on youarehere podcast
My favorite girl, Dani, has a podcast all about conversations that interest her and she wants to go deeper on. We see each other all the time because we work together and one thing that is true about us, is that we do not stop talking. I love her mind though because as soon as she's joking, she's also asking about the constructs that are behind the joke. She's not scared of a conversation and she makes every room a fun one to be in! We had a light hearted conversation about all the things that we are obsessed with, check it out on her youtube or on Apple podcasts!
Things I'm Loving in Pop Culture: The Bachelor Finale
One thing about me is that I am going to have opinions on things! I didn't sit with the girls in front of someone's TV every Monday for the last two months to not talk about this! All season I thought he ended up with Daisy, so I was surprised to see him propose to Kelsey. That being said, I loved how Daisy held herself. I love the support she showed Kelsey and I love the closure that she was able to find for herself, Joey and Kelsey in this process. I don't think many runner ups are able to do that. There are people that say that she ruined Kelsey's proposal and made the moment about her, but I just don't think that there is a situation where that moment was ruined. If anything, it was freeing for Joey and Daisy to leave on the same page and want the best for Joey's relationship with Kelsey.
All that being said, I think that the Bachelor is just a social experiment. But Joey may have really saved this franchise because every contestant left thanking him for the man that he is. I can respect someone coming in with the intention of saying "I Love You" one time and sticking to it.
